Overview:
The March 2026 update for Centrik spans nine releases across web, Android, and iPad platforms. The headline feature is AI-assisted similar report detection, which automatically identifies duplicate and related safety reports to streamline case management and improve data quality. This release also delivers mobile compliance improvements, updated ECCAIRS ADREP taxonomy data, and over a dozen targeted bug fixes across Safety, Training, Quality, Regulations, and FTL modules.
What's New
1. AI-Assisted Duplicate Safety Report Detection and Merge
Centrik now uses AI to automatically detect duplicate and related safety reports, helping safety officers work more efficiently and maintain cleaner data.
When a safety report is submitted, the system analyses both the narrative text and structured fields to identify similar reports from recent submissions. Results are presented in a new "Similar Reports" panel within the case review workflow, where each match is categorised as either a likely duplicate (the same occurrence reported more than once) or a related report (a different event with similar characteristics, such as a recurring hazard at a specific location).
Safety officers can review each suggestion and choose to merge duplicates — selecting a primary report for the combined case — or link related reports to build a more complete picture across events. Suggestions that are not relevant can be dismissed, and all feedback is captured to continuously improve the accuracy of future matches.
Key benefits:
Reduces the time safety officers spend manually scanning for duplicates and related cases
Improves data quality by preventing fragmented cases and duplicate entries
Reduces duplication in regulatory reporting (e.g. ECCAIRS submissions)
Enables richer cross-report insights, such as identifying repeated hazards at specific airports or recurring patterns across operations
Related changes:
[CNTK-426] Safety managers can accept or reject duplicate report candidates and merge reports, selecting a primary report for the combined case.
[CNTK-431] When a safety manager reviews duplicate suggestions, their feedback is automatically sent back to the detection engine, improving the accuracy of future matches.
[CNTK-948] Duplicate records are now correctly removed from the suggestions list after a merge suggestion is accepted, preventing stale entries from reappearing.
AI Add-On Features: This feature is part of a series of AI-powered enhancements for Centrik, designed to make your safety, risk and compliance processes more efficient as well as powering new smart data insights. These features are optional add-ons that require explicit customer opt-in, including approval of additional data sub-processors. We’ll be in touch with full details and the opt-in process in the coming weeks.
Other Improvements
[CEN-31992] Camera access is now available within compliance audit workflows on the Centrik Android app, enabling users to capture and attach photos directly during inspections — aligning Android functionality with the existing iOS capability.
[CEN-33248] iPad users can now tap and hold to delete components within the app, providing a consistent deletion experience that was previously only available on Android.
[CNTK-519] The ECCAIRS ADREP taxonomy has been upgraded to version 7.1.0.0 in the Centrik 4 platform, ensuring safety reports reference the latest internationally recognised event and factor classifications.
[CNTK-932] The ECCAIRS ADREP taxonomy has been upgraded to version 7.0.0.0 in the Centrik 5 platform, bringing parity with the latest ECCAIRS classification standards.
[CNTK-1006] The Centrik Support role now automatically includes SmartDocs access rights in each Document subsystem, ensuring support staff can assist with document creation without requiring manual permission configuration.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
Safety
[CNTK-897] MOR (Mandatory Occurrence Report) flags now display correctly in the Analysis "All Cases" list view in Centrik 5, restoring the visual indicators that help safety managers quickly identify reportable events.
[CNTK-944] Resolved a JSON parsing error that prevented some users from submitting safety reports on iPad, which caused the submission to fail with an error message.
[CNTK-956] Fixed an error that occurred when publishing a safety case, caused by a missing directory path on the server.
[CNTK-982] Applied the same safety case publishing fix to an additional deployment stream, ensuring consistent behaviour across both Centrik 4 and Centrik 5 environments.
[CNTK-993] Corrected an issue where the "MOR?" flag appeared incorrectly on certain cases in safety case lists.
[CNTK-1010] The feedback functionality in the Close phase of safety cases is now working correctly; previously, attempting to send closure feedback generated an error.
Training
[CEN-33040] The Training component on user devices now correctly prompts for an update when changes are made in the Training module, resolving an issue where it incorrectly showed as "up to date."
[CEN-33187] Fixed an issue where training tasks appeared on a user's dashboard but could not be clicked or opened.
[CNTK-954] Currency Requirements are once again visible on the Crew Overview and individual crew currency pages, correcting a display regression caused by recent configuration changes.
Quality
[CNTK-978] Users with only "See" access rights can no longer edit the checklist schedule page or alter schedules; the system now correctly enforces read-only permissions.
Regulations
[CNTK-534] The "Needs Review" notification badge now clears as expected after a regulation amendment has been reviewed on the Amendments tab.
FTL / Flight Log
[CEN-31510] Corrected an FTL calculation issue where flight time limitation breaches were incorrectly flagged following a period of time off.
Android App
[CEN-28806] Resolved an issue preventing users from adding attachments to safety reports on the Android app.
[CEN-32636] Fixed a display issue where the Sync tab became blank after double-tapping the Sync button in the navigation bar.
iPad App
[CEN-33082] Fixed an issue in the Compliance module where all screen elements became unresponsive after closing an embedded web page during audit upload.
End-User Impacts
Safety managers will see a new "Similar Reports" panel when reviewing safety cases, showing AI-identified duplicates and related reports. The feature activates automatically once configured by your administrator. No manual setup is required by end users.
Support Impacts
Support teams should be aware of the new AI-assisted similar report detection feature. Administrators may need guidance on initial configuration. The system analyses reports after submission and surfaces suggestions in the case review workflow, so there may be questions about when suggestions appear and how the merge process works. The detection improves over time as safety managers provide feedback on suggestions.
The ECCAIRS ADREP taxonomy has been updated on both Centrik 4 (v7.1.0.0) and Centrik 5 (v7.0.0.0). Customers using safety reporting with ECCAIRS classifications will see updated taxonomy values. No action is required, but teams should be prepared for questions about any new or reclassified event types.
