1. Review and Approval Workflow

The system now supports a structured internal review and approval workflow for SmartDocs, ensuring that draft manuals progress through clearly defined approval process before publication. Review and approval requirements can be configured either at the Document Type level by Document Managers, or at the individual Document level by Document Owners (if not already enforced). These settings include whether the workflow is mandatory and which roles are authorized to perform reviews or approvals. Once configured, authors select reviewers and a single approver from the permitted roles. Each reviewer completes a review cycle, providing comments and signing off once any requested changes are addressed. After all reviews are complete and the approver signs off, the author is able to publish the SmartDoc.

• Updated email template management by repatriating templates from external services to internal control, enabling easier template customization and maintenance.

• Enhanced permission policy management with improved REBAC implementation for document type permissions. The system now provides better fallback mechanisms and more reliable policy propagation.

• Implemented comprehensive caching strategies for document permissions to significantly improve loading performance on document context menus.
