It's almost the end of the year, so we wanted to let you know about the upcoming features and changes to the Tech Log Suite of products that should be live by 6th Jan 2023. A number of the following updates may be live earlier so keep your eyes peeled!

 
Global Enhancements


Internationalisation

Customisation is now available for a number of fields to ensure that the terms are accurate to each region and operator. 'Part 145', 'Blocks Time', 'Flight Time' and 'Engineer' are all examples of what can be updated throughout the interface. If you would like to like to amend these terms then please contact support with your requests.

Troubleshooting Steps

The ability to record troubleshooting steps has been added to Defect deferrals on both the iPad Application and Web Dashboard, to record any steps taken to determine the fault.

Airframe and Engine Cycles

Currently the landing, airframe and engine cycles are all recorded separately, however, it is now possible to remove the airframe and engine fields. Please contact support if these fields should be removed for your organisation.

New Features

  • The ability to confirm the aircraft has been added to the new trip workflow on the iPad Application, requiring the crew member the scan a QR code to ensure that the correct aircraft has been selected. QR codes would be provided by the TrustFlight team if this feature is turned on, however, a justification can still be provided should this be unavailable to the crew members. Please contact support to discuss turning this feature on.


Enhancements

  • We've been doing some work behind the scenes to reduce the time it takes for aircraft to load on the iPad Application when switching between aircraft. You should notice an immediate speed improvement after updating to the latest version. In addition, we no longer require the full aircraft history to be downloaded to the application, allowing you to further reduce the time it takes to load aircraft by loading only relevant, recent, history. This will be gradually rolled out for customers over the coming weeks, but please contact support if you would like to be the first to try it on your aircraft.
  • The date format preference selected within the Web Dashboard will now be used throughout the iPad Application for all dates it displays (for example, replacing 2022-12-20 with 20-Dec-2022, or any other format you've chosen).

 

 

 

 

Web Dashboard Release




The Web Dashboard is updated continuously throughout our development cycles. These are just some of the enhancements we've added recently, and some that will be making their way out to you:


New Features

  • Resolution details can now be edited, in the case of errors, within the workpack drawer.


Enhancements

  • Following on from the update sent in November, the ability to edit Intermittent Faults / Observations has been added to the Web Dashboard. This can be accessed through the fault side pane. If you would like to discuss adding this module to your account, please contact support.
  • In sector creation, it is now mandatory to select whether any defects have or have not been reported within that sector to match the functionality of the iPad Application.


Bug Fixes

  • An issue preventing APU hours being entered within the trip update drawer has now been resolved.
