Overview
This release improves audit trail readability and sync reliability, adds guest signer name visibility, and fixes several trip, defect, and MEL deferral bugs affecting compliance-relevant workflows. It also adds new airports, corrects an airport name and code, and addresses three critical-severity security vulnerabilities in the dashboard.
What's New
1. Guest Sign-Off Name Visibility
Guest and unauthenticated signer names — for example on public CRS sign-off forms — are now displayed on the front end, in audit pages, and on the dashboard, instead of appearing blank. (TL-7628, TL-7888, TL-7889)
2. Readable Audit Trail for Hash/JSON Fields
The audit trail now displays readable before/after detail for changes to hash- and JSON-based fields, rather than raw hash diffs, continuing the version history improvements introduced in May. (TL-7615)
3. Custom Fields in Trip Updates
Users can now add custom fields in Trip Updates. (TL-7938, TL-7939)
4. Leon Integration Mapping Updates
Added TechLog → Leon mappings for the ER-OPS flag and ICAO type-of-flight designator. (SS-1213, SS-1237)
Bug Fixes & Improvements
Sync Fixes
Approval releases dropped during partial sync: Fixed iPad sync limiting logic that could exclude associated approval releases from a sync payload, which had caused some aircraft to incorrectly show as needing approval. (TL-7223)
Person records created on iPad not sent to Core: Fixed a sync bug where the iPad could locally create a person record following a cross-operator identity change without sending it to Core, breaking sync. (TL-7842)
Defect sync failures on missing approval flag: iPad defects now default approval_release_required to false to match Core, preventing sync failures caused by a null value being sent. (TL-7870)
Sync failing on duplicate signature submissions: Core's signature handling is now tolerant of duplicate signature submissions, so a repeated sync request no longer fails the entire sync. (TL-7797)
Stale CAMP integration diffs: Fixed the CAMP integration to clear pending camp_diff changes once a scheduled maintenance item is resolved, preventing stale diffs from being wrongly approved later. (TL-7064)
Defects, Trips & MEL
Defect and workpack approval could be enabled together: Front-end validation now prevents defect approval and workpack approval from being enabled at the same time, an unsupported combination. (TL-7855)
Deferred defect PDF showing wrong signature: Fixed the PDF generator so a deferred defect's SRP shows the deferral signature instead of duplicating the creation signature. (TL-6162)
MEL deferral showing incorrect procedures as confirmed: Fixed the iPad MEL deferral flow incorrectly showing all procedure types as confirmed when only a subset actually applied and were reviewed — a safety/compliance-relevant fix. (TL-7897)
QR-code justification popup not appearing: Fixed the New Trip signature flow so the "could not scan" QR-code justification popup correctly appears when tapping the signature field, not only when tapping Create. (TL-5046)
Signature row incorrect after re-entering New Trip flow: Fixed a UI bug where re-entering the New Trip edit flow without making changes showed the signature row as blank or incorrect. (TL-7931)
Serviceability mismatch after removing a tolerance limit: Fixed a bug where removing a tolerance limit could leave the iPad showing an aircraft as unserviceable while the dashboard still showed it as serviceable. (TL-7313)
Maintenance items going overdue immediately: Fixed a bug where setting a maintenance item's "time due" incorrectly overrode its tolerance window, causing the item to go overdue immediately. (TL-7198)
M-procedure naming mismatch: Fixed Core's naming logic for M-procedure names to match how the iPad handles missing titles. (TL-7922)
Hours widget mismatch between dashboard and iPad: Fixed an hours-widget discrepancy between the web dashboard and iPad caused by scheduled maintenance tasks not syncing to the app. (TL-7909)
SRP verbiage not reflecting renamed fields: Standard defect resolution verbiage on the SRP now correctly reflects operator-customized field names instead of always showing default terminology. (TL-7906)
Web Dashboard Fixes
SSO login popup showing a blank screen: Fixed an issue where the iPad SSO login popup redirected to a white screen instead of completing the Microsoft login flow. (TL-7864)
Aircraft widget due date shown in local time: Fixed the aircraft widget's "due" datetime display to consistently use UTC instead of local time. (TL-7932)
Manual configuration for overdue item behaviour: Added a dashboard front-end setting for "date resolved overdue item" behaviour, which previously required manual backend configuration. (TL-6494)
Incorrect ICAO codes on some aircraft: Added two Bombardier Global 5500/7500 aircraft model types, fixing incorrect ICAO codes shown for certain aircraft. (TL-7848)
Airport Database Updates
Added airport KCPP (Greene County Regional Airport) after its official reference code moved from K3J7. (TL-6932)
Added missing airport VOGA to the database. (TL-7156)
Changed airport code UCFP to UCFK for Karokal Airfield. (TL-7310)
Added missing airport Weda Bay, Indonesia (WAEH) to the database. (TL-7905)
Renamed airport EGOV from "Anglesey Airport" to "RAF Valley" to match how it's commonly referred to by operators and tracking systems. (TL-7913)
Security
Addressed three critical-severity security vulnerabilities identified in the dashboard. (TL-7643)
End-User Impacts
iPad Users: Sync and MEL deferral bugs have been resolved. Users should update to v1.63.0.
Web Dashboard Users: Fixes are live as of this release; no action required.
