Overview
This article explains how to create and include custom form sections within workflows in Centrik.
Form sections can be added in two ways:
- General Form Sections – appear in the main page of the workflow

Note: Detailed guidance on creating form sections + adding and editing data fields can be found in the following article:

Creating a Form Section Within a Workflow Step
Step-specific form sections only appear within a selected step.
Important Requirement
This option is only available if the Workflow Style is set to:
- Step By Step
- Step By Step, With Assignment
Step 1: Access Workflow Step
- Open the required Workflow Definition (template)
- Go to the Contents section
- Select the relevant Section
- Locate the appropriate Workflow Step
- Click Details
Step 2: Create a New Form Section (optional)
If the required form section does not already exist:
- In the Forms area, click + New form section
- Create the form section as required
The example below shows a number of custom fields already added, however detailed guidance on creating form sections and fields can be found in the Centrik 5 User Guide - Forms Module (Editing Templates) article
Step 3: Select an Existing Form Section
If the form section already exists:
- Return to previous page (shown in step 2) and select Edit to display the available Section Templates
- Select the appropriate templates using the checkboxes
- Click Save
Step 4: Verify in Workflow
- Start a new workflow using this definition
- The form section will appear only within the selected step
Important Notes
Form sections created for general workflow use and specific workflow steps cannot be shared between the two. If the same form structure is needed in both areas the form section must be recreated separately.
