The Self Sign Up feature lets external regulatory applicants create their own Centrik accounts, reducing the administrative burden on authorities.
Applicants must choose a system-wide role during sign up, which sets their permissions in the system.

To enable Self Sign Up for applicants in Centrik, you need the following access rights:
- Manage All Registries in the Registries module
Manage Roles to configure System-Wide Roles (via Contacts or Config module)
Create System-Wide Roles
This section explains how to create System-Wide User Roles, as Self Sign Up assigns users to one of these roles.
To create or edit a System-Wide Role:
- Go to the Contacts or Config module.
- Open the System-Wide Roles tab / button.
Click the blue Create System-Wide Role button.
- Enter a role name in the Name field (e.g. Airworthiness External Applicant).
Assign access rights. At minimum, select Add and Edit Own Applications and See Own Applications for the relevant Regulatory Applications subsystems.
- Click Save.
You can create multiple roles for different applicant types and manage their access rights individually.
Enable Self Sign Up
To enable Self Sign Up:
- Go to the Registry module.
- Select Configure Self Sign-Up.
This opens the Self Sign Up Configuration page, where you can manage available system roles and see if the portal is enabled or disabled.
If no roles are selected, the portal remains disabled.
To enable the portal, select at least one role, click Save, then read and confirm the on screen prompt by selecting OK.
Once enabled, the page will display the active roles.
Only the selected roles will be available to applicants during sign up.
You can also use Preview Sign Up to see the portal as applicants will, and copy the URL for this specific page, to share as needed (e.g. on your website or in emails).
Once you have completed the above steps, Self Sign Up is ready to use.
Below is an example of what the applicant will see when accessing the URL.
